Pet Friendly Cottages

Here at Buckland we understand that your dog is just as important as any other member of your family, so we understand that you wouldn't feel right going on holiday without them.  Most of our self catering holiday cottages accept our furry friends and being in the rural south west we are sure they will love it too.

Rather than leaving your pets behind or at the kennels we provide stunning dog friendly cottages that are surrounded by miles of breath-taking scenery thus making dog walking, an absolute joy.

Whether you're inland or near the coast there is an abundance of dog friendly activities to undertake.  There are a number of the best beaches available to dog walkers in the South Hams.  Dartmoor has hundreds of tailored walks over rolling hills, through mystical woods, around stunning reservoirs and across hundreds of miles of moor land.

Some of our cottages allow more than one pet.

Most of our pet friendly cottages accommodate multiple pets.

This includes cottages which allow two dogs and cottages which allow three dogs.

Buckland House allows four dogs subject to approval.

Being in the beautiful South Hams our dog friendly cottages are a specialty with gorgeous gardens, winding walkways and pet friendly pubs, our pet friendly accommodation provides the ultimate haven for both owner and pet.

The following cottages welcome pets that leave both owner and companion in complete bliss:

We welcome well-behaved pets, by prior arrangement.  We charge £25 per pet per week and are flexible on number and type of pet - talk to us about your requirements.

Dogs must be well-behaved and they must be kept under control as there are free-range ducks and chickens on site and other livestock nearby.  Dogs that are liable to chase livestock must be kept on a lead.

Dogs must NOT have access to cottage bedrooms.

Please bring your own dog towels.

If you'd like a dog-free day we have a list of day-boarding kennels or can occasionally offer dog sitting services at our discretion.  Do not leave your dog unattended in your cottage without prior arrangement.
