East Street — one of our favourites, first brewed to celebrate the 500th guest beer at the Dartmouth Inn, Newton Abbot. It was named by a customer in a competition, now a regular beer at the Old Inn at Halwell. Not wanting to forget the wine connoisseurs, we have a local award winning vineyard to visit at Sharpham near Totnes with its alfresco bistro bar. www.sharpham.com The wines at Sharpham vineyard are a result of a happy marriage of soil, climate and grape variety — known as terroir. Add to this the use of both New World and traditional techniques and the result is a laudable tally of International Awards. Likewise, using traditional production methods, we have an award winning range of English cheeses. All our Local pubs cater for young children before 8.00pm
