Spacious Holiday Cottage
Buckland – Slapton – Kingsbridge – Devon
Welcome to Oak Cottage
Oak is a deceptively spacious and well-appointed cottage in a sheltered courtyard nestled in rural South Devon countryside. This stylish property, built in traditional stone, offers versatile and comfortable accommodation for family groups, friends and golfers as it comprises 5 bedrooms, an open plan, well-equipped kitchen, a games area with minipool/table tennis. There are various seating areas in the lounge for watching tv, playing cards/games or relaxing. An outdoor table and chairs provide for al fresco sunny breakfasts. Beyond the adjacent lower courtyard is a large 1.5 acre communal garden and orchard with lovely views over the rolling countryside, ponds, brick built bbqs with picnic bench, a children’s playhouse and space for games.
Oak was totally refurbished in 2024 to a high standard with new carpets throughout. This lovely and welcoming holiday home provides the ideal location for holiday makers and walkers, just 2 miles from the long stretch of Slapton Sands and close to the blue flag beach of Blackpool Sands with its watersports and food outlets.

The best equipped holiday house ever!
Oak Cottage is perhaps the best equipped holiday house ever! It’s spacious and comfortable, with games for rainy weather and a gorgeous garden with big BBQ and seating for when the sun shines. It’s tucked away in the countryside, a short drive along the narrow lanes from the sea, slightly further from several lovely seaside towns. Our family of 11 enjoyed a super long weekend here – can’t fault it. Thank you, Karen, for making everything just so. July 2024
The house was amazing!
We stayed here for a week with our 3 children, their partners and 4 grand children, making a party of 12. The house was amazing, from a very well equipped kitchen, lovely bedrooms and relaxing seating areas, all beautifully decorated. A very well stocked under stairs cupboard with windbreak, chairs, parasol etc for the beach; also games, and a pool/table tennis table. We were lucky not to need them, but very useful if the weather not good. The area is perfect for a seaside holiday, we were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather, and visited Tor Cross, Bantham, Blackpool Sands and Bigbury; nearby Dartmouth and Kingsbridge also. Highly recommended, a lovely property and good communication with owner. Kevin July 2024
